  7. So after having to put the van on hold for a couple of weeks... was waiting on the shed doors to go on to keep the heat in and the damp out... plus a week away helping a mate with his first house (plumbing duties to save him about £700)

As she's looking at the mo

Still got the roof to sort, and the dash to flat back... but I've never seen so much filler primer on a van before... must've been like 5l worth on the front panel

  8. Good work, I really do kick myself not buying 1 of the 2 1965 splits I was looking at for £4000 in bloody good condition :(

    Love my Bay though:D

  9. about 14 years ago, I went and looked at 2 a guys was selling... wanted £1200 for the pair... I kick myself about that one a couple of times a year

  10. I bought my first split for £400 ,I bought it just as the newspaper had hit the shops ,within 2 hrs it was sat in my garage... ;D

Never did like them, I blamed "the scene" for making me buy it... >:D

    Nice work Paul...

  11. Those workshop doors look good paul you should be toasty warm now

  12. I'll see what it's like tonight when I go in... I've got the oil filled rad on low now, and the top half of the van in bare metal!!

My dad made the doors... handy having a builder as your father

  13. Doors get a big  even though they need finishing round the jams and some brush strip on the bottom, it is a load warmer in there with the heater just on 2 (6 is max) 8)

Just nibbling away at getting the paint off the lower half on the sides and back corners... I'll get the paint off the roof tomorrow

  14. Loving your work Paul...

  15. cheers dude

  16. Roof of the van is stripped out... not got any nastys, but the low spots in the paint were due to someone treating small rust spots, and then the filler primer sank into it over time...

Photos tomorrow once the dust has settled... came in looking like the incredible hulk

  17. One bare metaled roof

Still a bit dusty... but that'll come off when I run over it with the DA

You can just make out a dent in the roof... I'll get my stud welder on it, and hopefully pull it right out!!

Just got some DAing to do on the lower half, and a little bit of filler work, and it'll be ready for paint

  18. Almost there with the body prep... only issue is it takes an age this time of year for the filler to go off properly... even with extra hardener in it

Hopefully throw some paint on before christmas day 8)

  19. What colours combo dude

  20. Keeping it as is, so white and green/blue
