  1. As the forum fart lost everything, i'll post this up again.... especially as i'm doing some more to it at the mo :D

So, as she looked about 2yrs before i purchased her :)

up in the west coast of scotland a few years ago
    [IMG]

bit of racing at the pod ;)

so here's where the fun began... the dreaded rust monster has been creeping into some of the panel work :(

    Engine lid

so i made the decision to replace as opposed to repair..

    drilling time ;)

    dent fixing
    [IMG]

    leaded and filed back
    [IMG]

    etch primed
    [IMG]

    in primer
    [IMG]

    new rear hatch
    [IMG]

i'll have to get a few more pics sorted as the rear hatch and engine lid are in primer, and are ready for base coat :D

  2. Love the silver / chrome combo, but I have a question, why all the holes in the engine lid ??? does this not affect the correct engine cooling ? Oh and welcome back :)

  3. latest purchase...

dry sumpage here we come ;)

i've bought something else to go on.... but that can wait until it's finished and i'm ready to unveil it ;)

I'm also going to be swapping out the box for a 915, and get the hydraulic clutch finished off... but things are starting to progress which is good :)

  4.
  5. Ah ok forgot about the Porsche engine (drools)

  6. big sucky fan ;)

    carb mods
    [IMG]

new csp 44mm manifolds - one modded for servo take off
    [IMG]

although i'm currently contemplating efi... but the carbs will be used until i've got all the parts together for that ;)

bus 6 rib, T25 bellhousing, modified slave mounting
    [IMG]

    detailed back end ;)

New exhaust system is on the cards too... current one is far too restrictive... you can see the hot spots in the muffler where it has blued the stainless :-X

  12. Thanks guys :D it's good to be back ;)

  13. made a new shroud, as the old one was looking a little beaten up currently in primer, but it's going silver ;)

I would also like some opinions on wheels... I'm thinking of going to something a bit different to the tele's... think they're a bit done now

    so the choices are:
    turbo twists in this colour
    [IMG]

or sports classic 2 (i think that's what they are)

or something else porsche... open to suggestions :)
