It amazed me how matter of fact it was to the nurses, whilst it was happening they were chatting to each other about Eastenders! I wanted to tell them that it was usually a lot bigger but obviously the stress and the cold weather had got to it, luckily I decided to simply shut up and lie there

 

For anyone else suffering with bulging discs, my advice to mark was to stop sitting on a sofa. I used to get these excruciating pains where it felt like my back was a about to break in half. I will never know but I imagine it must be getting up there with the pain of child birth. Now I stretch out my spine regularly and only ever sit in a firm armchair. I have an ekenaset from ikea, so it looks quite nice and is comfortable.

Five fractured ribs and being opposite a comical hernia related patient in a surgical ward. He would unwittingly cheer me up for a laugh!
Then when everything was just beginning to settle down a well timed physio would turn up to assess mobility.
I've had some painful stuff but ribs beat everything else so far.

Rhubard! Raw rhubarb continues oxalic acid which is poisonous but when cooked, it forms oxalates. Grown in Yorkshire's Golden Triangle. It's a ploy to kill off all those southerners.

 

Now that was a painful experience. Didn't watch the tv because the guy was trying to stuff his camera up a constriction (there's a name for it but I can't remember).
