..hmm is it good or bad news?..are these subi engines really better on fuel then ac motors?..honest question for the future decisions..I averaged 2 years ago 24/25 mpg down to Cornwall snd back in fully loaded bus with heavy riviera roof and 2l type 4 in the back and quite heavy foot ps glad you got ur bus back on the road

Blimey, even VW didn't claim quite that good MPG and they were lying!

..yeah that’s the correct number ..however my last trip to TE wasn’t as much success of mid 20s mpg..I was in fact concern about my mpg but it tuned out it managed 21 mpg with blowing exhaust wich is still not too bad me thinks..next trip down to Cornwall in a few weeks so will see how it goes (still expensive for sure)..

They are good depending on how you drive them.

We have just toured Scotland and covered 1418 miles on £376 of fuel.

  12. Did some Dad taxiing, waved at a nice crew cab bay then fixed the o/s side marker and reverse light. Bad earth. Unfixed the horn…

Guess you know the tailpipe shouldn't point upwards like that? Was it one of the kits?

That trip would have cost me £700 - 50p/mile. Your engine will soon pay for itself!

  18. Yes it was a kit from Heritage. It looks worse in that pic than it actually is, it sits comfortably clear of the bumper. I may take the tailpipe off again to see if I can persuade it down a bit if its an issue.

It surprised me to be honest, I was expecting more but then I didn't tend to go above 60 even when the roads allowed, a comfortable speed was 55!
