    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

Gone down from 57 to 52, no change.

It'll run on 45's but that makes a lean hole before the mains kick in unless I go down to 30 vents - but it won't start in the winter at 50 or under without mental amounts of continuous pump jet squirting.
New wideband sensor just arrived but I won't fit it until I solve this current problem. Exhaust is off and one HX this morning, I'm orf to take the other off now. 4 1/2 years outdoors has turned the casings into rusty junk I'll post some pics later.

This afternoon I stripped it right down to metal, and flapdisced all of the tiny pits, that rust, out of it, then gave it a single fresh coat of Hammerite silver smooth. DE0247AD-417E-43BE-A32A-88BC0FDF6716.jpeg

  9. Reluctantly got under bus. Relieved to find everything hasn't rotted away. Found main heater hose has disconnected itself, which may explain lack of heat. Noted VWH cable boots that had rotted away. Discovered a couple of belly pan holes that weren't there.

Golden transmission still shining brightly

  10. Finally finished split charge stuff and wiring tidy-up down the back. I hate split charging - big ugly cables everywhere. That's quite enough fiddling for now.

  12. If I can be arsed to get under the van sometime, the fuel pump may actually go in. Maybe.

  13. When you have fitted the electric pump will you be selling the pressure regulator?

  14. Awesome
Had no idea a VSR was so big!! Makes me wonder where i’ll put it...when I get one.

  16. They’re quite clunky. I don’t particularly like the way it operates. A boggo relay works equally well. It may go at some point.

  17. Maybe, but it’ll be while.

If you are fitting one, I’d recommend the Petrol King - just the regulator without the big clunky filter.

Used it to get to work again 6 days so far and it’s not broken down.

  19. Looks lovely. When you have electrical hookup does your starter battery get charged automatically?

  20. No. I've got a mains hookup, but there's no charger.

I'm not an enthusiastic camper ;)
