  1. Ok will do but even a misfire would have a registration mark from the firing pin

  4. Removed all filler and paint. Found no real rust just poor butt welding joints. Also found after someone ran into us 5 years ago insurance specialist didnt replace corner.
Hopefilly will be 50kgs lighter now.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Cut some more holes in the underside of the poptop for lighting wiring . One for each switch and one additional one to get past a strengthening rib on the way to just over the cooker.

Hole for getting past stiffening rib.

  9. Very nice! What paint are you using?

  10. Collected it from MEB after it was lowered (French Slammer 11cm-narrowed beam and adjustable rear springplates), then looked at it in the sun!

  12. Yep, the Brazilians moved the holes on the replacement ones.

    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

Checked my valve gaps, which were all good so that was a load of lying in the muck getting oily and sun burned for nothing. I'm not bitter though. :)
Exhaust all coming off tomorrow, there a leak somewhere, there's far too much popping and banging while engine braking...people are staring, it's embarrassing.

  14. I've undercoated in zinc phosphate primer which is awesome stuff - 3 coats of it.

Then i had some single pack/enamel hybrid made up in vw Taiga Green / sage green to match my van.

Ignore the slight bit of welding i need to dox but the finished result is good.

I'm putting clear stone chip over it before winter

Filled it up with petrol for 3rd time since lock down. I think that actually makes about 400 miles driven because I did two half tank fillups first.

My daily driver is booked for MOT this Thursday having had its MOT expire on 17th March.

Really pushed the boat out today

Replaced the short fuel tank to steel filler pipe house as the existing one had cracked, went remarkably well, the tank strap bolts undid nicely, which was a surprise.

To really push the boundaries, I changed the four breather hoses on the fuel tank, the previous ones crumbled away, looks like they didn't get changed a few years back.

Its all happening quickly here in Lawrence County :D
