    Steady Mark.

  2. I need to be fitting these to mine soon
The last ones I fitted cracked in a short time without even having any fuel through them

The one taken off was a 2013 fitted piece, not sure who manufactured it. The new one was about an inch longer, Wolfsberg West via Schofields, fit really well although it did need trimming slightly.

I'd say I'll let you know how I get on with it but it might be a while before were up and running!

  5. Both jobs are on my 'to do list' over the next week or so... glad it well - inspires confidence!

Worst part, all the dust hidden under the fuel tank, blew all over the place!

I know mate, it was either that or do some prep for paint in the engine bay!

  9. PO's choice so not sure.
Keep meaning to get a tin or two of spray made up for touch up but not got around to it yet.
Think I would have chosen the original transporter blue but the girls in the family like this.

Only if they expired after 31st March. I was not using the car much, MOT expired 17th March so booked MOT a bit late, then lockdown happened before the MOT appointment. Checked online and it is not MOTd at present.

    No. :) 8 BTDC
    Not jetting either.
Nor carb balance (morgan carbtune double checked with snail).
Nor throttle plate position at idle - 1/4 turn from closed.
I've already been through the easier/not lying on the floor stuff and also removed and refitted the silencer. I'm now working my way back to the heads praying I haven't cracked an exhaust port. Heads are cut, ported, chambers enlarged, from 1700's, I'd need a pair if one is bad. £1000-1500 a pair. Eek. And would be just shy of $2000 a pair if AA weren't knocking $500 at the moment. I'm almost tempted to get a pair for reserve.
Edit, perhaps luckily they've sold out.

  15. Did it only start this when you fitted the vintage speed exhaust?

I think so. I say think because the old muffler muffled better, the tailpipe pointed backwards rather than sideways and I've had the windows shut over the winter.

Did you elongate the holes on the heat exchangers Steve?

When we fit ours, we had to file them out a little to make it fit nice, mind you they are repro heat exchangers

It all fitted together fine, the HX's are slotted from new?

we had to open ours up slightly to get the fit a bit more snugly.

  20. Any possibility it could be the jetting as the new exhaust is performing differently?
