    Broke my pop top spring thing. The only bit of metal I had, the same thickness, was a garden lawn edger...

    My new welder arrived yesterday and I couldnt resist having a tryout.

    Loaded up with 0.6mm wire and plugged in the gas..

    A self portrait I did straight off no messing.

    It has a wire thickness control ( voltage tweak ) and a current control. It automatically tunes wire speed to make the current as set.
    And instead of a 100Hz buzz it has a quiet squeak to the arc.
