I’m getting way ahead of myself though (and boring y’all) because i haven’t even changed the Oil Pressure sender to make it drivable, so no point in making it pretty

This is true. I’ve waged war on rust, so I guess that’s part of the tarting up process.

I thought the gutter was near impossible to prep & paint but these little guys holding the cab headliner have been comparable. I don’t rate my chances of doing anything with the ones above the cab doors!

New ball joints fitted

 

Washed it, first time for 18 months or more. It had tiny black spots all over the roof, where it drains and any upwards facing surface, some type of algae. Very difficult to shift.
Then polished black streaks off the awning housing.
That's enough. The whole thing needs a polish and wax.

 

Changed the gearbox oil
75W90 5L Fully Synthetic EP 75/90 Gear Oil Hypoid Oil 5 Litres GL-4 GL-5 MT-1
Changed the engine oil ....All good

 

Restuffed the mattress...



Had a touch of the @Mark Darby s. Very soothing.

 

Finished priming a few bits, along with the bottom sliding door track...

...which I already have questions about (and bound to have dozens more in the future), so started a thread about it

@Mark Darby . Crappy ones on the left, 2.8mm ones for mini-Fastons on the right. They're much stouter, bigger tang I didn't have any trouble with my 6.3s.

Used it as an office then unhooked the hookup and went to the farm shop.

Where I bought fruit and veg, milk and eggs, and a load of vegetable plants .. and some border plants. Forgive me I have sinned...

 

Blocked it up,Took the wheels off and getting prepared to scrape all the rust off the bottom! Tomorrow.

 

Polished some of it. I fear it's going to take weeks at the rate I can be bothered to do it.

 

Not much else to do....I image on a boat, you can't even do a bit of gardening for a change.....anyway you've 3 weeks minimum, so no rush.

 

It's either paint the boat or polish the van. Hobson's choice!

 

Do you get any fish in the canal ...with spots of paint on them if everyone is painting there boat

 

Today I've fitted under dash trays
& new headlamp bulbs.
Still waiting for the steering box to turn up.
