  1. Ash take a deep breath and take your time and it will come out fine your the man for the job

  2. well i did sit down and chill abit last night and thought about how im going to sort this little problem out , so after again moveing the van and the trailer round so i could get the door fully open and step back to look to see if its right i started to cut ;D well first i cut the bracket of the a post that holds the door hinge and then bolted it to the hinge so i could put the door were i wanted then weld it back on but i found it needed to come out more so i welded a 3mm plate the the bracket then welded that were i needed it .

once the door was sitting right i had to sort the gap problem so in the end i welded 2 strips of metal to the edge on the the front panel so it will close the gap up , not easy really as its fin metal but some tack welds later and some fine filler and i have this , some fine tweeking is needed but im happy its better than it was and i carnt get the pics to turn round but you get the idea

  3. see told you that you could do it well done just a fine bit of finishing simples

  4. cheers dale im happy it fits now but in too minds what to do next i could final finsish that bit but i carnt do much painting etc as the weather is not the best so was thinking about stripeing the rotten front beam and changing that tomoro or takeing the pop top off for a sand and re fibre glass

  5. I would get the door and the repair panel to a primer stage 1st at least it is an easy finish that way then move on to your next task - I had a similar fault with mine after the front panel was painted -
Just keep a calm head your getting there fella

  6. your right i should really finish the repair first then move to another bit but for some reason i really want to take the pop top off lol

  7. If you finish off bits then cross them off the list then look forward to the next challenge slowly slowly does it - and if you get fed up just leave it until you are ready then you will blitz it

  8. fair point ill be cracking on with abit more tomoro ,still got parts to order and a few bits of welding to finish off

  9. Well done on resolving your door fit problem. I knew you'd get it done.

  14. Nice work with the door shuts :D

I feel your pain working outside :(

  15. thanks zed and diddy ,,,ive added the metal to the egde and around it too so i can dolly it to the size i want then keep it there hopefully .
today ive ajusted the gap alittle so im happy it will be all sorted once ive got more metal to finish the front step area so i turned to the front beam not my best idea as i final got the beam down i bent the gear linkage as i did not move it out the way enough but lesson learnt ,so after some hitting and jumping on the beam i final have this and i think it may need some work so ill stick to useing my 30 pound rot free beam lol
    enjoy

  16. Having that spare beam has saved you a load of time and hassle dude and it was a bargain to boot

  17. i know it was a lucky find i only went to get a rear hatch and while in the blokes garage he said about this beam ,he got it for 30 pound and he siad it wont fit his 75 bay ? i just had it and then checked mine to find it will work fine .
just got to strip the old one down and clean and paint as ive been looking at yours and its all shiney lol
but do i put the bump stops on as they have been cut off ?

  18. Are you going to lower the bus ?
If so you will probably have to cut the bump stops off anyway

  19. i was thinking about it but ill be stoping stock for now but the beam has one ajuster badily weled in and the bump stops cut off so i was going to plate the bump stop ends and cut the ajuster out and weld up any little holes

  20. and i think i may need new shocks as you push them in and they dont come back out lol
