  1. Two should be enough for you

One outer click is 55mm down at the wheel.
Two is just about all you'll manage without chassis notching.
    Boomerang plates are 3 1/2" (90mm ish).
Two clicks or boomerang plates will make it impossible to get a standard wheel/tyre off without disconnecting the damper and prising the springplate down with a large pole.
So it depends how low you want and whether you have a wife who won't be impressed when you have a puncture and can't change the wheel.

  3. To clicks will be fine then , I want to be able to change a tyre lol cheers guys

  4. Ash you could also drop the tyre profile down a little as well that will help you get the wheels off

  5. I did not think about that would look cool slammed on standard wheel on low profile tyres :) I'll tell the wife that I've had to repair the rear end and this is how it's gona look lol

  6. Just go out and do it and let it turn out like this

every little job is one off the list dude, no matter how small!!

  13. A very good point , next is to get the ball joints pressed into the control arms then fit them and the hubs etc then it can go back on its wheels :)

  14. After a few hours today I've got the front beam back on and some other cables etc then I started to get the pistons out of the brake callipers but it did not go very well as only 1 came out ? I'm now stuck as what to do with them now as i carnt push the others out with the compressor .
The only other thing I could try us my ofn nitrogen bottle out of the van and push the pressure up .

  15. Well another day and a little more done , not really anything big but the tow bar was getting in the way in my shed so that was first then I started to clean and paint the brakes .
Plus I could not stop my self adding the number plate to the back , god knows why but it made me smile enjoy :)

  16. I've finally after a few weeks I've got the ball joints pressed in to the control arms for the front beam .
One place wanted 70 odd pounds to press 4 out and in :(
Few phone calls to mates and I got a local garage to do it , little on the side money for one of the lads 40 pounds for all for which is fair for an hours work:) one came out really easier the others needed abit of work he even painted around them a little but I'll be painting them tomorrow

  17. Had a package waiting for me when I got home :) my new front indicators .
They are after market ones but for the price of 24 pounds there ok and as one vw light housing alone is 25 I'm happy .
Will put a bit of sealer behind them once fitted to stop any water [IMG]

  18.
  19. I've built them up like that to check them and they seal really well , so they should be ok on the van .
I've now finally got a sliding door handle with lock and key for under 50 pounds .
Is the same as what was on my van but not sure if it's the correct year

  20. good progress mate, just keep ticking those jobs off the list :)
