  1. Thanks diddy , trying to get it back on it wheels but with work going 7 days a week again it's hard to find time , will be sorted soon :)

  2. Well today was the day I've done something on the van after god knows how long , so I've got the hubs and front beam on with the adjusters in it and I'm happy with how low it gone .
This is on the lowest setting .
Still need to order some parts for the brakes and gear linkage

  3. Coming along nicely now dude its a nice feeling bolting bits back on

  4. I must admit I was pretty smug once in hit the floor but the back end is so high now , I've just got to do that once the front is were I want it .
Still got loads to do though

  5. Just do what you need to do to get it through the mot dude and then do the rest a bit at a time

I feel a lot better and more positive about my bus since ive been using it

  6. Well that's the plan hopefully just get what I need sorted to put it on the road

  8. Getting there dale just got to order some more parts and pull my finger out :) and still got to play aroun with the back yet I'm thinking low :)

  9. Ash try 2 splines or alternative try the boomerang plates you can get them for about £70.00 and it should take you about 2hrs to fit i think the drop is about 3 1/2 - 4 inches - Still be able to get your wheels off ok

    Dale

  10. Cheers dale I may try the plates then I can adjust when I want without messing around too much .
I did not think it was gona go that low on the front I only just got the jack out with out the wood on it :)

  11. the front and rear will drop as you add parts all the glass seats etc - we can scrape along togther

  12. Lol the glass and seats are in mate just wanting to see how low it goes with a trailer on the back :)

  14. well im looking into rear plates so i can ajust the ride height as with just lowering on the splines its not as easy to ajust ,,,,, am i right in thinking
i want the van level at one right hight so the front will come up abit but also thinking about gas burnner alloys ,but what size wheel and tyres etc

My late Westy was 1 spline, gas-a-just shocks and standard wheels and tyres if that helps. Never had a problem even loaded right up.
If you want the speedo and gearing to work as designed, as I'm sure you know, you need to keep the standard rolling radius. I should know what that is for 15" wheels but I don't. Here's the Westy.

  16. Cool I like the way that one is sitting not too low it looks just right .
I want to keep it the same to drive as it is standard with the wheels etc for the mean time I'll be running stock wheels and some shiny hub caps :)

The suspension will be a bit firmer due to the new angle of the trailing arms, but mine drove and handled really well I have to say. Very happy with it.

  18. Looks good and handles better , I'm happy with that :)

  19. I've had a delivery today so some work can be done this weekend :) I'm pretty chuffed even that I've spent loads but only have basic things e.g not enough of it is shiny :)
Had to have a little play

  20. Another nice day and not much done , I finally got the bus out of gear so I could move it to get my trailer tent out as I'm going away in a couple off weeks .
So after that i fitted the head lights ,indicators ,number plate, grill to the front . Then played with the door abit with some filler .
Personally I don't like the grill
