  2. They look spot on mate, what does he charge?
The alloys on my golf need doing, gone the same as yours maybe a bit worse

  3. It depends on what colour etc but normally 80 pounds I think but I'd need to know what you want e.g how many wheels and what colour etc .
You would need the tyres off and any weights etc too

  4. Ow and that Wa a pic of the good wheel mine were bad the clear coat had gone and the polished lips were going black :)

  5. All 4 in a standard alloy wheel sliver if you know what i mean nowt special
i will take a couple of pics tomorrow it that helps

  6. I'll have a word mate see what he says I'll pm you

  7. Well another step forward today then one back again .
Built up the hub on the van with the new brakes etc only to fine the bearings in the hub are makeing a noise, so striped it all out and greased and put back together to fine the spline would not go all the way in after abit of hitting it did but I think it needs new bearings anyway so off came the hub again to strip it for new bearings .
Other than that I've not do anything else

  8. As been as its a nice day I thought I'd have another crack at the van and get the cover off for a day or so to air .
But I was all ready to crack on then I did not do a lot I ended up sanding the drivers side quarter panel and engine lid again as it will all need doing before the next coat of paint but I feel like I'm getting nowhere at all ,every time I walk round the van there are jobs to be done but carn't be done until its painted or back on the ground ,the rear hub is of and all the brakes and back plates need to come of to be able to press the bearing out for changing luckily my mate has a press in the garage I can use .
Anyway here is the difference once the panel is sanded nice and flat before paint

I may have to call in some favours from the late Bayer's to help me get back on the road ,to be honest I'm not happy with something's on the van but I also think its no show van and it will be safe and sound so I should just get it ready , not felling it at the moment ......rant over

  9.
  10. Will do mate I'm sure you can do more then you let on lol

  11. I e started welding again but it was short lived the welds started to splutter and become even worse as time went on . Due to the fact that the wire was starting to run out on the cheap real I brought , there was a fair bit of wire left but as it got lighter it struggled :( so while the wire is out I've put a new tip and surround on the gun ready for the new wire ( which will be from boc this time as it much better stuff .
Anyway this is the bits I've done and yes I'll be grinding it all back to weld again once the welder is working again .
Ow and while I had the chance I ran a blade in the grove on the wheel that feeds the welding gun it's wire as it cleans all the crap out of it and a fair bit came out too .
Here is the sill plate , the whole sill needs doing at a later date but for now it will do
