Today was the first time I've worked on the van in god knows how long , so I started to strip the rear drivers hub off again as its grinding when the wheel etc moves but have found a problem after getting the bearings out I found that inside if the hub is damaged ! A bit has broken lose and I don't think it's useable any more as its were the bearing case sits any way see what you guys think ow and is there meant to be a cir clip of some sorts holding the bearings in as I had to pull the case apart that held the rolls in it
Well sorted the hub problem out today thanks to many late bay members While doing that I Was finishing some bits of welding off under the van , the rear sill will be like this for a while untill I replace it all but for now it's more than solid , then some other bits welded to . Had to seem seal and prime the welds as there are a few small holes but If I keep grinding it all back and weld it again it will just blow more holes so it will have to do
Yeah mate you were right it was the bearing case I got it all out in the end just need new bearings so its not broken in side it's justo not paying attention lol
Cheers dog hopefully get more done soon , wish the van was into garage but its much Easier to pull my welder out of the garage to the van as it in front of the door were as before I had to pull it out the shed and all over my grass Will get it in there one day
Glad to be back mate have missed this place , but have had fun while I've been away , started mountain biking again so the van is now being finished so I can use it as my biking bus well went I say finished I mean on the road and I'll do the other bits as and when that's why I've not replaced all the iner sills just patched them for now
