This little bugger took some shifting. It ended up in the garden over a bloke over the road. So all looking good for the rebuild when the new bits have turned up.
Ok im not well up on aircooled engines but i disagree thats not all ok for a quick bearing change and rebuild
That's the actual colour, hence my question. As for the picture delay that must be the servers or summat similar?
I thought that but all the tube bottoms are like that and they're the same in the other engine that I have here.
Top of this pic just about ok bottom of this pic no fecking good Sorry to say dude but its a proper rebuild in need
I've got 3 cases in the shed all look the same, I think they used a cheese grater for chamfering. The colour of that bearing is odd but if your replacing the cam I wouldn't worry. Just check its saddle for size and roundness. Cam saddles are normally fine though.
Yeah, the cam one is a funny one but it's a proper job. Measures up in tolerance. On paras picture? My cam one is brass coloured.
Honestly dude anything less than a proper rebuild on that engine will see it fail mid gardening job for your adopted bloke
All the mains were unmarked as we're all the cam ones except that weird thing at the drive end. I've bought all new mains anyway, it's the cam thing that concerns me, is that normal @Paul Weeding ?
All this engine building smoke an mirrors the last three years has really peaked my interest in setting up to do them myself To be honest though ill pass by untill people are willing to pay for a good reliable engine
