You might have to wait a year, I'm stacked and also planning to take a 3-4 month break this summer if all goes to plan and I clear the decks in time.
Can I play? There wasn't much of these left... They got rebuilt an refitted. The whole back end was ploppy poo bags. Chassis fixed first. Bumper mounts were toast so new chunks fabbed up both sides. Posts rebuilt and new valance fitted. And outer panels fixed up. The corners look toast, but solid as you like. Gradually built back up. Looks a bit poor until you get some paint on innit? Did the weldy blob trick for the engine lid hinge but the whole lot turned inside so I had to cut it out, fix it and refit.
Getting there... Had a moment when I thought I fecked up, but after trying another couple of lids which were fine, I bent the banana lid straight. That's why I was trying to get it off. Icky bits to wrap the outer valance and corner end flanges round. B post inner, outer all gone up to the hinge, fabbed and fitted. All the posts along this side were foobar and as a lot support the loadbed and this is going to be used in anger... I'd have fixed them anyway, but it's nice to have a real, real reason.
Not too bad. Then I went soft and did some fillering to get the boys a head start painting it. The arch repairs are too short for a doka and have to be extended to this inside-out seam. The other repair panels had to be made as well. I love my spot welder, you can see I've used it all over the place on these repairs and the rear stuff.
