I know... think I'm gonna be burning the midnight oil before long to get things done I've got a Karmann Beetle coming in sometime in April, so I need to get a shift on!!
Sorry to hassle, not even my bus. On the other hand... October November December January February... You're as bad as me!
And in that time I've been ill twice, and done a ton of other stuff But yeah, it is a bit of a mission sometimes!! lol
uhuh - currently in the middle of having to fix the parents jeep... 3.1td and the vacuum pump has just stopped working!! Looking at it today, I might need to pull the engine out to do a couple of jobs as the engine bay access is very limited!!
You need an apprentice to do the laborious boring stuff matey - you're too successful for your own good.
Would be nice, but I'm a stress head and would probably run round behind anyone working for me checking that they're doing it right!!
Engine bay done!! I really struggled to paint out the engine bay... When I primed it, I used my normal primer gun, and it was just too bulky... trying to get it round the metal work was a right mare!! So when I tackled the top coat today I fired up my pressure pot, which was a lot better going... only problem is, is it's a big bore tip for painting epoxy chassis paint... so next time I do this I think I'll have to get myself a new gun with some different size nozzles!!
Got some more done today!! De-bagged the van and got it outside Left the plastic in the cab so I can mop the dash over Refurbished the axles as the CV boots were splitting!! Gave the fuel tank a strip down... it'd been brush painted gloss black, and it'd got rust blisters all over the top of it!! The I sprayed it with some rust converter Ready for the epoxy primer now!! That's it for today!!
If I ever get another do'er up'er ....I think I'll save my self 4yrs and ship it up to you .....how much do they want for the splitty
