    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

I use cutting disc too. A light tickle, not chop through the panels.

  5. Visions of a Mr men episode...

Mr tickle tackles the troublesome seams...

  6. Hows the split coming along paul?

  7. I've not touched it since Thursday... :( Had other things to do!!

But I'll be back on it this afternoon... just got a little bit of panel prep to do, then it's ready for primer!!

  8. So I finally got everything prepped for etch today and hung it all up... there's a few extra pieces... may as well squeeze them in as I'm throwing some primer on!!

Could do with a little extra space :(

Etch on... would've grabbed some more photos, but the fumes were still hanging

Primer on in the morning :D

  9. Your going to have a hard time fitting those extra bits to the split

  10. indeed ;)

They're my "to be moulded" parts

  11. Is there much weight saving between the grp and steel parts?

  12. GRP can be well over half the weight of steel... just depends on how thick you make the part!!

I'm using twill as my laminate as opposed to chopped strand, so I can use one layer, but I reinforce the edges with tape to give it a bit more structure

Plus with some of the bits I'm doing, it's more about replicating OG fitment with an alternate material

  13. Panels are all now in primer and I'm stinking from the fumes

    Pics later :D

  14. yay progress being made:thumbsup: ill pop back for the pics later

  15. Bit later on the photos - was at the g/fs last night and I forgot to sort my camera out

  17. Panels look awesome in primer!

  18. Got a fair bit of sanding to do now lol :D

  19. Sanding is going well... should have everything that needs painting white from that last primer session prepped and ready for paint, then i can lay some white down tomorrow
