    Based on what Josh has posted here and reading through what has been posted, to me, the responses given have been shown to be professional and shown the JK are willing to move forward with the help of customers. I am keen to see how this pans out over the next few weeks/months.

    I am also interested to see what VW Heritage and Coolair would do in the same vein as Just Kampers - not that I am saying either of these have given issues, please dont think I am, we hear from Bigrich on here and he is a top bloke when it comes to sorting parts out for the forum but little do we hear from VW Heritage (ok Anna is on here and is helpful) in the improvements they plan for the future.

    Just curious, thats all!!
     
  4. I will add my 2 pence worth as its mainly positive

    I have used JK 20-30 times. and only had one problem. Wrong rocker cover gaskets (1600 instead of type 4)
    Recently I purchased a propex unit off of you guys, which was the most competively priced on all of the world wide web and came with a box full of free goodies (bottle clamp, magnetic gas gauge etc) and have had no problems. I also placed an order with vouchers over the phone last week thursday at 4.00pm and it arrived the next day.

    If you keep that level of service up, I will continue to use you lot.

    I bought some a couple of years ago and they rust like nobody's business. My bus lives a fairly charmed life, in the garage most of the time when it's not being used, and they've still rusted. The green bus in this picture has 2 sets (I think it's thefarmer'slittlewifie's bus) and as you can see, they have rusted so much that it has stained the bumper they're mounted on.

    This sort of fair weather chrome is really no good for buses being used in the UK with our hideous climate.

    My two pence.

    I've bought a lot of parts from JK over the years. They nearly always deal with any problems extremely well. The exceptions are when they've clearly got a warehouse full of e.g. wrongly made sliding door seals, or 20,000 miles of overbraided fuel hose and 3 tons of jubilee clips masquerading as fuel hose clamps. In these cases they simply swear blind they've "never had a complaint" "One of the lads fitted one just that weekend" etc. They do this until they've sold all the "wrong" parts, THEN re-stock and happily admit to the failings of the old parts. I find that rather grating. I've run businesses for 25 years and I've always found it the norm to take it on the chin if you make a bad purchase, not to pass it on to your customers.

    Like I say, these are exceptions and I can't think of any others. All in all a great company to deal with for the "all-round" sort of common deominator stuff they do. :) There are other companies that tend to specialise in certain areas, eg lowering kit or window seals for every model but that's not the kind of company JK are is it?

    Brilliant, its hard to get good customer service generally in the UK and whilst I think its a shame it took a forum post to get these complaints sorted out what fantastic responses from Josh JK here to go out of his way to try and get unhappy customers satisfied.

    I usually pop down to JK as its not far to buy and pick up my parts and they have always been exceptionally helpful and when there has been a problem it has been exchanged without any problems. In the past they could be a little expensive though, but this is now usually not the case and I have always been pleased with the service.

    I hope they continue to grow as a quality company which evidently from these posts they are really making an effort to do. (I agree about fuel hose though and jubilee clips!)

  10. I'm still in shock at the amazing and professional service Josh is doing. More businesses should take note at this level of service.

    On a side note am I right in remembering a thread a while ago about JK driver and passenger doors. Someone ordered a pair and one was an original and the other was a Brazilian with the swage line. On calling customer services was told "you can only look at one side at a time"?

    It's stuck in my mind as I couldn't believe someone would say that to a customer and blow me if I haven't heard the same story twice from different sources.

    Not sure if JK did it too, but I bought polished (I thought) cab window surrounds from C&C and when they arrived 1 was polished, 1 was brushed. Their response was as you say up there ^^^ "you can only see one side at a time...."

    As for product testing. Happy to do this on your behalf. Had quite a few bits off you over the years - going back to early 90s but not much recently (ive still got some of those spots I havent fitted btw).

  19. I got told "we have it on all our buses no problems", best get um ta change it ay josh ;) , keep up the good work ,your stuff always arrived on time to me, just a couple of small issues with quality but i got round them. Spect your enjoying the humour ;D
