Sorry Josh, but however "unaware" you claim to be, I think you'll find there are plenty of posts on internet forums from people who've written bad reviews for you that never made it through the vetting - enough to convince the rest of us that you simply bin them. Whether that's the case in fact is neither here nor there.

For instance, apparently nobody has reviewed you fuel hose. Pull the other one!

 

what quality inspection do you use? or do you have approved suppliers who you trust? i would imagine some of the suppliers don't tell the full truth when stock supplied to them changes making you the end seller look poor, i've only bought a few parts off your company, and the quality was poor in some so i must be honest i call you last..... which is why i don't call.....

like the response, from a warehouse man of 24 years i know what you're up against, but as with our business others will provide better service and if we fail we loose custom, maybe if you're really trying then i and others will buy from you again, good luck and thanks for at least answering posts.

You asked, so...

I think you'll find the rear coupling on the gear shift rod is a favourite hated part.

I don't know if you sell them, but repro steering couplings are the devils work unless you enjoy steering with the responsiveness of a boat.

Then of course the old favourite - cab door seals. I think anyone with any experience will tell you that you either fit the best quality ones or you will never see you doors shut flush again. I do understand that while others continue to sell cheap ones you feel you'll loose out on sales if you discontinued them and ONLY stocked the best ones, but it would enable you to loudly and proudly state the shortcomings of the inferior seals and make it look like you can be trusted. Do this for all your seals and your sales would increase. What people do not want is to be robbed of their precious time trying to fit totally unsuitable products. Right now if anyone on any forum asks for advice where to buy seals the answer is usually Custom and Commercial along with "under no circumstances JK".

The trouble is if people buy a few inferior products from a company they tar the whole range with the same brush. IMO selling inferior seals to a few angry people has led to this. If you know what you're doing it's fine and as you probably could easily find out I've bought lots of your cab door seals - the expensive ones every time. I used to chip into these threads to make this point on your behalf, but now I don't usually bother.

BTW I don't recommend shops usually, my advice on seals is always by the most expensive from anywhere and you'll get the same product.

 

I've got a pair of rear lights from you and one of them deosn't have a stop and tail lamp holder in it, it just has a single filament lamp holder where the stop and tail should be, problem is i bought them nearly a year ago and have only just got round to wanting to fit them.

Do you even still do the brazilian ones?

 

Bit of an update about our reviews, for Paradox and Zed


I've just gone through all of the Pending reviews that needed to be checked and uploaded.
About 75% or more were from spam bots, so those got deleted, but the other reviews, both good and bad, are now up on the website.

I've had a look at the site, and the reviews that I've checked have gone live immediately, so I'd assume they're all visible now

For the sake of clarity, here's an example of one of the products which had some negative reviews that I just uploaded.

I think it's a good example, because you can see the reviews have gone from 5* to 1*, which means that little alarm bells are ringing in my head now and I've added the quick release terminals to the list of products that need to be investigated.
It's a growing list, but I'll make sure we get there! >

 

Josh thats fantastic and enables the buyer to make an informed purchase aswell as you get feedback on whats good and whats not

If things really do improve with jk over time i may just start using you again

My bus goes away for repaint in september and will be getting reassembled the beggining of 2013 and no doubt i will be requiring lots of little bits and bobs and maybe a few larger items during the process

Im an ex aircraft engineer and have built a fair few projects to concourse standard over the years so if you want someone to fit and write impartial reviews of your products then feel free to send them my way

 

The thing I really like about JK is the delivery.
£5 next day for all orders, I then receive an email in the morning giving me a 2 hr slot so I don't have to sit in for the entire day ;D

One thing I do want to query though (and it is a query and not a moan as there may be a reason for it ) is the door cards you stock from Newton&Commercial. They are more expensive than buying them direct from Newton. For instance the inner tailgate are £56 each direct but £60 from JK however if only buying 1 or 2 panels i'm sure that difference will be made back in postage as N&C are £25 and I believe JK is still £5. However it appears that from JK we can only buy the N&C cab door cards and the tailgate cards seperately, there is a bundle for £688 but that is for 11 panels so I assume this doesn't include the inner tailgate which means for an entire matching set it's £815 which is way more than N&C as for all 13 panels bought seperately it's £617 direct Thats a £200 difference so what incentive would people have to buy a full set from JK rather than N&C?

Please don't hide behind that old one - "offering people the choice". You know as well as I do that they are bought by the unwary. It's the usual course that pattern parts just don't last as long. The idea that after fitting you won't be able to shut the door just doesn't occur to people. Who wants choice when some of the choices are unfit for purpose? I'd say it's more like people are forced to gamble without knowing they might loose

If you clearly labelled them something like this I'd be quite content for you to sell them and might even laugh and think JK are me mate. :
"Warning - we will not be responsible if, after fitting this seal, your bus looks crap and your cab door falls to pieces as you slam it trying in vain to get the door to shut flush."

I would honestly rather not have a seal at all then go through this.

 

erm, what is there to say, only I've got parts of JK and when fitting them they where not as good as you think and the buyer hopes for!.
I have a big list for the van which is now painted and I am only doing this once so I like most people and its MY PRIDE and JOY! so only want to fit the best I can which is why I shall be taking the next six months to fit the last bits, well a lot of bits really ha.

The only problems I've had with you JK is the customer service, remember one bad review is seen by every one.
