  4. Fingers crossed a sponsor comes along then as I don’t do face book.

I reckon there's quite a few members on here who contribute regularly and usefully, who probably don't do facebook... it would definitely be a shame if that were what it came to - but hopefully it will only need to act as a 'back up storage of information' on the mech tech / history / how-to side of things.

  7. Are you completely raving mad? If the uninitiated Facebookerrati ask what oil? The consequential repercussions could be and no doubt will be disastrous.

If it ends up a facebook thing I'll give it up. I like forums.

Did you say you're covered by the existing sponsor for another year? If so, I'd start the voluntary thing ASAP and get ahead. I think you might be surprised though you may have to do reminders now and again. I'd bung a £20 in once a year to avoid it dying on facebook.

Seconded Steve, its not the same on Facebook & I'd happily help contribute too.

I don't, it's like a stream that flows past and disappears down a hole. While you could say the same for a lot of TLB, TLB isn't using us, taking rights for things, aiming marketing and generally demanding our souls for access to it.

Chump change if you can afford to own and run a T2. :)

yes we have about a year.

tbh the drips and drabs payment option doesn’t appeal to me. £1000 isn’t a small amount.

obviously I haven’t given up hope.

    50 x £20 or 100 x £10 should be easy.
Just have those as options, don't mess with smaller amounts. How hard can it be? Maybe I misunderstand and TLB is a profitable sideline for you guys, or profitable enough to twist your arms to keep it going?

Yeah, but I'm with Steve on this. I get the principal or not asking members to contribute so make it voluntary.

I pay a small amount, and it is a small amount to your charity so I can comfortably post about transaxles and drivetrains without feeling like I'm touting for business.
I'm not touting, I'm just happy to help folk if I can. I can do bay boxes, they just don't float my boat.
I'd happily pay a few quid more, to help the Blood Runners and as a contribution towards the hosting, if it meant I didn't have to engage with FaceBook.

I do that occasionally, very, on my terms and when I'm in the right frame of mind.

I can dip in and out of the forum at any time because I actually like most of the people on here!

That's something that's been going right over my head. Do I now understand that TLB is here to make a little money for blood runners? That's really cool.

I would be happy to pay as zed suggested, but I think it would be the same people paying year in and year out and the occasional browser/member would not contribute,
I would set up a d.d for 20 a year with no problems as I think the information alone that can be gained from members is worth the 20 ,

You can see just by observing over the course of a few days the regular contributors who no doubt would pay but there will be some who will think the info and assistance is "free" and why should they pay, so if would the same people paying each time

    If that makes any sense

    I'm happy to pay
