What a shambles

  1. Im pretty sure the IRA would agree with you as well. But I’m not sure blowing up King Charles III and installing a Catholic King is going to boost the economy.

I see Grease Mogg resigned with a open war with sunak accusing him of being a remainer.

This split won’t go away, more turbulent times ahead.

I don’t think Rishi needs to worry about that lanky streak of cat’s wee, he’s just an irrelevant ideologue. An annoyance, nothing more.

  4. Knowing what fans you all are of Mr Mogg. I watched this yesterday and I think some of you might like to view it. I won’t say enjoy it.

Watched three quarters of it and got bored of his voice. He’s just typical of the right of the Tory party and they have a lot of sway. His views are the same as the average farmer, the landowners of this country and a lot employers, but people keep voting for them and knocking unions so I have no pity when the middle classes are out of a job or crying that they don’t get mortgage help out etc when they’re out of work or can’t get hospital appointments and have to go private. You reap what you sew.

  6. I hope they do split in two, the Tories that is, we don't want a split in the fabric of time, that would never do!

Well, there is a theory that gravity is associated with a split in the fabric of space and time. A loss of gravitas might well be associated with the creation of factions in the Tory party, but I'm not sure that's the same thingo_O

  8. All political parties are made up of factions. It’s nothing new. Labour spent half the time they were last in power arguing amongst the Blair/Brown camps. The Tories argue over Europe, always have, always will. Labour will have arguments between the centre left and the far left the next time they get into power. People even argue in Russia and China, it’s just they tend to disappear.

You need to do a bit more reading rustbouquet your lot are at knives drawn with each other and it’s pretty nasty atm. Brexit might have got done but it’s still smouldering within the toady party big time!

He’s eccentric, but he’s not even a likeable eccentric is he? Possibly the most punchable man on earth, certainly one of them.

  15. I guess in one small way I do admire the fact that he makes absolutely no effort to even try to be likeable or relatable or pretend that he is in anyway like the constituents he represents.

Unlike a lot of politicians who try to pretend they are one of us, then you find out they send their own kids to a private school, have private health care, second homes paid for by us etc. He at least makes no apology for being a privately educated, privileged (insert insult of choice) and thinks of ordinary people as potted plants. Has horrible views for instance on gay marriage and openly admits it. I guess a life growing up in boarding schools gives you a think skin.

Amazing such a obvious plonker gets voted in really, after failing on his own terms it appears the Tory party approves of his extreme right wing views enough to give him a safe seat. That's the problem here - not Rees Mog perhaps but the Tory party in general steering themselves in that direction where the extreme horribles get safe seats because that's the heart of the party and more "liberal" Tory's are selected to fight the swing seats and become powerless yes men/women back benchers just there to swell the numbers.

  17. All the parties have their looneys. The extreme hard left communist types are being kept very far away from TV and Radio at the moment by Starmer. As he knows full well they could stop him winning the next GE. Even to the point where the Labour leader, yes that’s right, a LABOUR leader suspends front bench MPs for standing on picket lines. You couldn’t get a better example of spin. But Momemtum haven’t gone away. They’ll be back to tear apart the Labour Party once the more moderate (boring) Starmer has secured them a victory and he hasn’t even started arguing with the Union bosses.

  18. Now as much as I’d love to matter about politics all day. I really need to go and rip off some old ladies.

Almost the opposite of the Tories? Labour try to hide their extremists, the Tories hide their moderates, or rather the extremist head up the party.
