It’s the weird times we have endured for the last 15 + years of “ Celebrity “.. It started with young wannabees ( fair enough) some had a short background of music, modelling etc. What we have to endure now … if you watch it…is failed non entity politicians eg Dorries, Hancock now Anderson. It’s not that they are talented or interesting ,but we ( myself included) are drawn in simply to be exasperated at their ( ???, couldn’t think of an acceptable word )
In the old days they had public hustings - there were some mega ones by the likes of Cyril Smith etc where he got a proper kicking. Now they run planned meet and greets where the questions are pre agreed - I watched Cameron and Milliband do this in the Offices at Birmingham Post and Mail. A pre vetted audience has to submit their questions - then the politician deals with them in groups of five at a time - there is zero discourse, no conversation and certainly no arguments. They've created this hard shell around them where most haven't got a clue about the daily lives of the people they are supposed to represent ('I don't have a single working class friend' says Sunak when interviewed as a teenager) whilst furiously trying to make out they are 'men and women of the people' by looking like a sack of **** whilst our 'jogging'. My biggest issue is now the press - ALL of them are paid mouthpieces - there is no Left and Right - just paid for sound boards with no integrity. It's why they continually attack the BBC - its why the BBC have that Tory in charge - who still remains in seat despite an absolute public reaming for trying to sack the footballer for saying nasty things about his Tory friends. No chance of any actual moral fiber and resigning - oh no, these new Tories literally stick like **** to a blanket. When all media is skewed - no wonder they look left leaning.
Do not mention his name he's our local MP and (on the odd occasion, he has sorted ASBO issues out) but of late he keeps making a complete prat of himself and his comments. Along with his thug mates, he is getting a name for himself & not in a good way. #notourMP

He certainly is! He has alienated lots of locals & I very much doubt he will get voted back in. That said, he does do some (not much) things to help the community but I think its to win points over our council leader, Zadrozny. It shouldnt be like that.

It might, just might trigger a by election though. Think how sweet it would be to see De Feffel have his arse handed to him on a plate. Not a forgone conclusion of course, but not beyond the realms of possibility either.
