    Mmm disappointing they haven't bothered to reply to this. Maybe they've been busy.
    To the top for anyone who might have missed it.

    Has anyone else who's insured with them had a letter?
     
  2. Nope no letter here, although not expecting one as I havent raised this direct with them. I am interested in this though as our insurance is due for renewal in March, at least plenty of time before then for things to be sorted. Whatever sorted might mean.

    I bet a lot are watching this thread. I am in the same boat and am waiting to see if I need to review my breakdown cover! I did breakdown in France and was not concerned firstly because I felt safe knowing I had my DAS cover letter with me and secondly because I was confident of getting it fixed! I'm glad I did get it fixed.

    Now they've been made aware of their "mistake" they have to contact all affected customers under FSA Regulations. (Their words, not mine)
    With it being Christmas I guess this could take some time.

  9. Sorry for the delay in posting a response. Unfortunately the Christmas break got in the way! I appreciate that a response is required to clarify the situation and I will be able to do this very soon. Apologies for the delay once again.

    Yawn. Still waiting.
    Perhaps I'll bung this up on some other forums to see if they can be arsed to respond.
    Wouldn't mind but the boss phoned me before Christmas telling me what an important issue this was to them.

    Ok, cherished have emailed me and the original complaint between cherished and baysearcher is resolved that's all I know as its not my concern.
    I'm pleased that he raised this issue as may help others plan foreign trips and I believe cherished will sort it out. It is my understanding that this is now with the insurance company themselves so for legal reasons cherished can't reply on their behalf and as Tlb doesn't need to get involved we won't reply on anyone's behalf either.
    Cherished have said that they will contact everyone when they have been told how to etc, this may be now or at renewal I do not know an will reply on here soon.

    For the record, my complaint is not resolved. They have merely confirmed that they mis-sold their European breakdown insurance and that re-patriation is not specifically included.
    Resolving the issue would be providing what they sold me.
