Trump protesters

  1. Good speech from Pence this morning - first time i've heard him say anything sensible.

They really need to invoke 25th amendment - allows VP to take control if the president is unable to perform his duties / inciting insurrection.

    No, that’s a big Healy.

Fair play on the memory though!

He did talk about his in an interview a while back, I think there was an issue shipping his across to what I assume is Arizona.

  3. Saw him in Tenby about 1986, they were doing a live set for the ITV Telethon show. Just walking down the street with his then wife.

    Surreal experience.

  4. My 5 year old saw it on TV this morning, he asked why they were doing that ? My Mrs said to him, you know when you loose at Dominoes and you get the hump ! Well its a bit like that.

She has it spot on :D:D

  5. I don’t think we’ll be hearing anything more from Donny, certainly not after they canned his Twitter account. He’ll be off to the golf course until security turf him out of the White House.

Here we see a trump supporter wanting to support the potential spilt state of Georgia.

    Searches Amazon for the flag.

Buys the flag of Georgia, the European nation.

    Thick as mince.

Has the guy on the left in the yellow top somehow got a mullet IN HIS BEARD?!

Total kudos if so, what a proper redneck legend, has to be the worlds first double mullet.

The years since the films had not been kind to Harry, Ron and Hermoine.

Hagrid on the other hand had found ‘his people’.

  10. Will be interesting to see this quite openly disgraced public figure given the full force of the law as applied to general members of the populace. Inciting violence against the state usually has a poor outcome for perpetrators. As said before though, the media and system of government need looking at to ensure the rest of the world isn't dragged into petty squabbles from a spoilt brat. Only 3 years for our turn.

I'm currently growing mine, partly because @Baysearcher is my hero, but also because it will be a feeble attempt at irony.

Primarily because I can't be arsed to trim it anymore.

He won't go to jail. He will be parole until he dies charged with something to appease one section of the population and allowed to continually legally stall proceedings to appease the other half.

...or he'll suddenly be found mentally incapable of defending himself/standing trial due to senility and quietly shuffled off.

  16. Perhaps the Trump clan will flee on Air Force One and fly through international air space in perpetuity - like that family in the old Imperial Leather soap adverts...?

There must be a huge percentage of Americans totally fed up after being presented with a choice between two questionably senile old fools for president.

The choice was no better here of course.

I have a handful of friends over there and they’re equally horrified and dumbfounded.

Luckily I guess I no longer work for a US based multinational company where in regular transatlantic conversations one would probably want to avoid any kind of small talk just in case!
I’ve spoken to some contacts from a US company that provides some systems support to my current employer and they voiced their own opinions, also embarrassed at how the world must view them.

I think this latest episode will actually divide some of his own supporters to some degree, but those remaining supporters may splinter into activists who may get more motivated, and those that see sense and accept it’s time to let it go. We’ll see.
It can’t be underestimated how much pressure has been applied to those under his command, but now his grip over them - and reality - has nearly gone they’ll back away quickly and take some of the sense-seeing electorate with them.

Good will prevail I’m sure of that though.
