  2. Well, would appear the grown-ups are back in charge now, which is quite heartening, with the O.range Fool nowhere to be seen.

I gave up on the BBC long ago.

Trump’s behaviour is shameful, although that word doesn’t go anywhere near far enough.
He keeps pumping out lies and encouraging divisive action, the sooner he is shut down in terms of his privileged position and the ability to use official channels to incite division, the better.
His ability to bully others is already diminishing as they start to leave a sinking ship.

He may try to pardon himself but I don’t think it’s clear whether that’s possible.

I can’t see Biden pardoning him but I can see him not ‘pursuing’ Trump or calling off any major ‘witch-hunting’ legal activities, or at least postponing them, rather than fanning the flames with Trump supporters.
I suspect he’ll be smothered and silenced with the threat of legal action used as a lever.

I think his life will implode all by itself in a fairly short timescale once he loses presidential impunity and influence and the true state of his affairs becomes clearer and more of his cronies distance themselves.

    I certainly hope so.

I hope they put his exit on pay per view, I’d love to watch that walk of shame, hopefully a drag kicking and screaming fest.

I imagine this has been a bloody scary few weeks for the average American, they new administration is walking in to a proper mess.

Trump looked like he was setting up for 2024 or at least positioning one of his idiot offspring. Who knows if the last few days events will linger long enough to prevent that.

  5. Thats a bit harsh!

America operates to the extremes of every aspect of life.
Doesnt seem to be much middle ground between being loaded or busted.
Trumps rabid rednecks have merely pushed it over the edge.

Can't just blame the orange one on his own for this mess. Yes he incited the violence. But, when you have millions of of your population constantly shouting about the 2nd Amendment, it doesn't take much stirring. Sadly, I don't this is over. Hopefully the Orange Baby will disappear from sight but there are plenty in place to takeover.

The media have allowed this to happen, they should have took a firmer stance on his lies and incitement and his use of Twitter and FB FROM DAY ONE of his Presidency.

I did very much enjoy it when various armed factions were on the streets ‘supporting’ the president citing the 2nd, especially in Texas.

    They’ve plainly not read it.

  8. That’s not my experience of the average American, and I worked with them for about 15 years. Quite an admirable nation IMHO, despite their failings.

  9. That's not my wife's experience of working with them for the last six years and trying to explain that global strategy is not just American strategy translated into local language......

There are good and bad people in all societies, let’s not get carried away in tarring them all with the same brush as their criminal representative.

Looks like the night of the long knifes on Twitter.

    My favourite thus far:

Senator Lyndsey Graham getting the good news from 80’s crooner Curt Smith, who incidentally has owned his Triumph TR3 for nearly 40 years.

I think he’s hanging out with Dido Harding....our ‘leader’ of track and trace has apparently gone missing too.

Probably at her winter residence writing another book about horses.

  19. Agree - i can't understand why twitter and fb have allowed him to continue posts that are lies and incitements to violence. its against their policies and anyone else would have been banned/ removed immediately. The big social media cos are complicit in this. Ok he's temporarily suspended today but that is too little too late.
