  2. Walking the hound around Fewston resevoir and traipsing about the forestry in the area on a night. Quite a lot of single track being constructed by the locals @Flakey might be worth a mooch over sometime. Before you ask, bikes smell like germoline with me.

  7. We need to get flakey up for a weekend up here

Can we level the field by doing a walk though
I’ve not had my bike long

I’d like an underground bashing if I had a choice

  14. Get out with the bigger boys bud.:) I'm sure @Flakey and @Louey arent the leather jacket wearing types.
As for underground, I've as good as retired, circulation is shot. Maybe in the summer bud.

  15. Pleasant wander of 10 miles around Thirlmere yesterday with Mrs P and The Hound. Ended up doing the last 3 miles with a twisted knee, yep, clumsy oaf, at least could do that bit on tarmac. The Hound was not seen in the rear view mirror all the way home, bless. Btw the car parks around Thirlmere are free at the mo.

  16. Hope you are able to rest that knee and it improves quickly. I use the ViewRanger App and have signed up for the 1,000 miles walking challenge in 2018. Slightly behind already but yesterday my knee was giving me gip, my ankle had swollen up and my hip has also started to ache, this being the hip that wasn't replaced 2 years ago. This growing old is getting frustrating.

  17. the golf course was closed again today so a good walk all over it in the sunshine and crisp wind. now I'm back having a mug of Yorkshire tea and a Digestive, then its giving the garden birds the last feed of the day.

  18. I like the way Blackbird, Song Thrush and Robin leave it to just before dark, the other birds have already left for roost. Blackbirds like fruit so I put out grapes and apples.
