Nice one dunc After the 10k road race in may I’ll be moving over to trail running Should be much nicer than pounding tarmac and dodging cars.
I prefer trail running but this time of year round here it's permanently muddy as f, can make the downhills quite exciting
All part of the fun I suppose I’ve bought some trail running shoes So will be doing doing one run out of three each week on a trail I’m hoping it will help strengthen the stabilising muscles and my core Which should help lessen the chance of injury. I’ve got my eye on three trail races already Ones a run to the top of roseberry topping and back down Another that’s a 10k mud run at camp hill country estate And one in October that’s a 13k multi terrain at grewelthorpe Should be a fun year if I can stay injury free. Fingers crossed the physio will sign me fit tmw and I can get training.
Cycled down to Stratford Upon Avon for a second breakfast and decided to cycle back avoiding the main A road. 43 miles and only a half of Black Sheep on the way home - managed to resist Pie at the Fluer De Lys pub.
Some stats to go with the return journey (because we love stats on here). Up hill most of the way home. Sent from my PLK-L01 using Tapatalk
6 miles around Swinsty and Fewston reservoirs tonight. Lovely moonlit wander, hardly used the head torches.
Up onto Helvelyn plateau from Thirlmere and as I wasn't into it wandered back along towards St John's in the Vale and came down at Stick Pass then back along Thirlmere shore. Went to Keswick and got the hound a new coat. It was pants ont tops, wet snow. Now she has winter armour. Pottered up to Mossdale from Kilnsey today
Physio has signed me off as fit So I’ve had my first run since knackering my groin last year Slow and steady for a few weeks as I don’t want any more injuries Not so warm out mind
Thought you'd been caving @paradox with the altitude figures bud. Been pants weather for getting underground , been trying for nearly a month messell. Btw, scraped together enough kit to dangle you off some"string". Do some proper potholing after appropriate training from yours truly. You'll be reet lad.
No idea what’s happening with those figures I might have to try a different app to log my runs. I’ll look forward to the caving when conditions improve
