I never made it to the beach last weekend, accelerated through the gears ok, but then lost power under load (fuel starvation I'm thinking)

A few things happened.

This was the problem

 

Wow - certainly terminal. Laurie showed me a wasserboxer like that except the con-rod had come right off, punched through the case and was lying on top. The owner carried on driving thinking it was a bit lumpy and took it to Laurie for a "tune up".

 

It was running ok just a bit flatter than normal and then just stopped

 

Gutted for you Lowie and all others whove posted ,think weve all been there

 

Should be back up and running tonight

not looked inside yet mark the new engines in but it seems to be running a bit hot
probably the weather and me being paranoid

Bad luck do you know the cause yet?

 

Not sure yet. Cut out doing about 55mph, it started again on the hard shoulder but went again after couple of seconds. The recovery guy didn't even know where the engine was!
