  1. Sorry, I saw your thread before this post. If worried about time, Could you get it delivered to Techenders?

I think that’s my back up plan definitely. I’ll try to speak to eurocarb when they open again tomorrow and then depending on their lead time, either collect it on my way to techenders (Reading wouldn’t be a massive detour) or get it sent to Eddie’s.
Thanks for the photos…. I think I’ve decided on where to site it (on the wheel well does seem the popular choice)… just need to buy it :)

EDIT: I've realised I'm going near to Just Kampers with work on Tuesday, and as they can supply the throttle return spring I ought to have as well, they might win the order. Much the same price.

Theres always tinsnips and a bit of sheet metal and a battery drill for making brackets in the middle of a field..

Hmm, I need to do that too, or look at the rear brakes, my handbrake isn't performing as it should, I bet I have a leaking cylinder.
I'll put it on my list with pulling exhaust stud and engine service. Best have a look see first and gather the parts.

It's great to see the Subaru swap working out so well for you Sam.

  7. pleasantly surprised how easy they were to adjust since fitting "new" backplates.

a nice firm pedal and half the lever travel now is a satisfying job done!

and thanks, i start a 2 month trip into Scandinavia in the bus, 3 weeks today!

Having plugs in the adjuster holes makes all the difference if you want to be able to adjust them by the time they need adjusting.

Changed the oil, changed a wheel cylinder, replaced & bleed the brake fluid. Replaced solar panel fuse holder.

    All good for TE now

My shiny new wheel will be delivered later this morning.. off to the tyre place to have the new tyre fitted..
Then at least I am not driving a bus with a noticeable desire to turn into oncoming traffic when I brake.. the Olympic remould is not as grippy, probably because its only got about 200 miles wear from new .. whenever that was.. no date code but the rubber is not cracked..

Thankless task but finally got round to bleach scrubbing the inside of the roof yesterday.
It's been one if those jobs that I'll do...next time!
However with the new GW canvas on order from the USofA we will re finish the roof with 4 way stretch so I figured a tidy up was in order...
Mildew isn't a good look
