  1. Nah , bigger ones

Only issue I can foresee is you'll knock 10 mph off the speed when illuminated - powerful enough to push the van backwards from stationary I'll wager...

I'm sure I have worse ones but I "borrowed" that photo years ago.

Well, there is always PTFE tape.
Seriously that rubber does not look like its going to do a good job with that gearbox nose cone clamp. Too much space.
I hope there is a big metal bar in there too.
I know mine is earlier, but that setup seems to miss having two big rubber collars on either side - maybe the rubber coating on the metal replaces that.

  10. It may be - maybe - that the clamping pieces for different years have different profiles for the rubber bit.

I'd bet those Brazilians changed it and that's what we're sold.

Got van back from auto box specialist after visiting @SundialCamperSpecialists a few days ago.
He ran throttle cable through in a new conduit, adjusted pedal and gearbox end connections.
Now have a firm pedal that actually opens the throttle more than 1/2 way , complete with kickdown and choke functions.

  19. Should fly up the Winnats pass now

Was doing 75 on M62 so I didn't loose too much momentum on inclines.
Speed limiter ( wife) was turned off.
Wonder if it will do 150mph now I've got full throttle??
