As Mike says, you are going to be slightly stuffed if you didn’t get the appropriate senders for the gauges.

Not sure if the BBQ probes are thermistors or thermocouples.

This was a rebuilt engine, in the first place.
Some sort of ‘Gold Seal’ offering.

Drove it.....well it needed a run out but my work van was getting new injectors fitted and by the way not only vw's leak fuel as my nissan decided after filling it with petrol to pi55 it all over a hot exhaust so squeaky bum moment with a fire extinguisher ready....
If anyone has a nissan they are robbing thieves.....the part needed to fix it comes to £380 fitted and you can only get it from them.

 

Investigating occasional slow cranking. Usually happens when hot but once or twice when stone cold. Looking like earth strap needs changing. I’ll probably fit a hot start relay too, 5 wires going to the positive terminal on the solenoid looks a big confusing though?

It couldn't be less confusing! Spades on spades, ring terminals on the stud.

 

Ok, sounds good. Just first round checking in case anyone said OMG that doesn’t look right.
