  1. Hold on, I'm looking for a gauntlet, I'll give thee a damn good thrashing sire...................Hang on you're bigger than me. I love gold gearboxes.

I did have this rather charming fabric on the door cards for the bug, but I chucked it! Remind me to never get rid of anything.

  7. Very tasteful!

  8. OK, I've stared at it long enough now. Is it a dolphin or the Cadbury crunchie wing walkers? (I suspect you might have to be a certain age to understand this)

  9.

I bet you haven't even got vegan snackeries. How quaint.

  11. Even in Hebden? Must visit one day. It sounds like Yorkshire's answer to Islington.

  15. I took Filmore for a spin for the first time in three weeks. He has developed a very stiff brake pedal. Seems to stop ok. I suspect the servo. What might happen to it during a three week layup?

  17. Finally finished my CHT gauge install.

Some months ago I picked up a NOS (1979) Westach, light aircraft gauge and thermocouple on eBay for not much more than £20. Had to make a new copper ring for the thermocouple as it was an 18mm model but a bargain I reckon and let's face it, you can never have too much to worry about when driving your bus! Sadly another few months before she comes out of hibernation but I'll report my findings as and when.

For now I've got the thermocouple under #4 plug (assuming all readings are only a relative guide anyway) but may move to #3 for comparison when testing is fully underway.

Ooh, I fancy a warbler, my ‘lights on’ warning is a buzzer. Is that thin wall cable you’re using?
