Finally fit the crank breather to the air filter. Test drove and the cab was noticeably less niffy and no oil spray in noisy cupboard.

 

Putting my meagre efforts to shame, will update my progress tomorrow, well done I appreciate the amount of work that has been inputted

 

Ordered the last bits for the front safari hope to have it all here next weekend

So... the clutch pedal isn’t meant to be there is it?
It snapped on the way to my mums, with a van load of stuff and two dogs...!
I rummaged around in the spares locker and found a new cable! Result!!
No tools though.
So, I laid on my back in a random street, and changed it with a toffee hammer and a weetabix. Well, nothing that good, to be fair.
Got me home though...! I’ll adjust it properly and get a new bourdon tube....

 

Some of us have leaking windscreens... that may well win the prize ...

 

Go at it with sandpaper kurust and rattle can...
Then you might not need to pay somebody to bury the rust zits...

Although they may be horrors from below...

 

Did you make your own tags or have you bought some in? If bought can I ask where from please? Ta.

 

Made my own out of a a bit of aluminium.. 15mmx 15mm angle from Bbq, pop riveted on

If you cut it into 25mm length then leave a 10mm wide tag on one side it gives you room to just get a pop riveter onto the ends.. fix it down then 3.5mm drill hole to match the new rim. No8 screws are 4mm so bite into the aluminium nicely, if your lucky the bowl will have the raised bits where the tabs should go too.. I hadn't even noticed till I measured to where they should be!

My Friday evening fun. I got one end of the axel undone before rain stopped play. The third hex bolt I faced up to, I thought ooh, it's loose already ...both my key and my socket just spun in the hex head, it's a good job I'm doing this properly, thought I. How wrong could I have been? Rounded off before I even got to it

Took a bit of ingenuity, but it gave up in the end when I hammered an old bit into the hex head and got some torque on it. Phew!

 

The wax will help in the short term
