T25 Compression Low

The end of the lifter has blued, and is probably quite rough... Cam will be shot, plane and simple...

Trying to fix something like that without a full strip is just a waste of money!!

 

It was.pretty smooth believe it or not, with little cupping if any

 

Assuming those used and incorrect followers are blued from running inside this engine and not the engine they may have come from, it's easy enough to shine a torch on the cam.

 

So I shine a torch on the cam. What am I looking for?

 

That is true

 

Any damage to the cam... it should be shiny and without scoring

 

Cool. I am going down the workshop tomorrow so I will have a look and see what comes up.

Oh my. You would never believe what I just found. Definitely a bodged rebuild. Look at this pushrod. They are all the same on this side.

cam looks fine, what you need is the correct cam followers and pushrods
