Most religion has been built on conflict , take the Spanish in the latin Americas ...terrible atrocity's on the Incas , force feeding basically , and when they spread influenza to them and practically wiped them out .
And when they saw the conquistadors not dying they thought that the Christian gods were better and turned to R.C . Well what a stroke of luck for Goddy good shoes .

  5. Looking at the Rob Lowe and Jason Manford comments and the backlash they received. Apparently you cannot speak out or express anger at extremists. Shut down by liberals for fear of offending who? Liberals or extremists? I believe liberals allowed the extremists to march right through Europe illegally if anyone observed the news recently. Liberals allow extremists to flourish. I have a strong dislike for liberals and extremists equally!

As for the Muslim community who are criticised for not doing enough to combat extremism, Those extremists live in your community. I grew up in Belfast where it was them and us. Terrorists lived in each community; there was deep mistrust and hatred simply because the extremists lived on the other side, the rest were assumed to be terrorist sympathisers. That was the reality unfortunately, so the more these attacks continue the deeper the division and mistrust in society.

And still the arms companies sit in the background loving the idea of sales of handguns and bullets in Europe, something unprecedented.

Meanwhile our government in the name of austerity cuts the police and armed forces to the bone, justified by wanting to drive a 'surplus'....despite most economists declaring a surplus not being the best strategy anyway.

Things have never been 'good', things are merely a little closer to home.

The arms industry thrives in distrusting your neighbour....capitalism thrives in times of fear where rational decisions go out the window.

You never sell much in tranquil times.

All he did was put a post up with a lot of swearing so got took down as he knew it would be and also knew a fuss about nothing would be made of it. Just another knob trying to get a headline.

  19. Just back from a weekend in.... Yes, Paris.
V sombre as we were supposed to be eating on that street after going to a photographer friend's talk and exhibition. One of HIS friends owns a restaurant next to the Little Cambodia, where so many were shot, and we were going there to celebrate his new fame.
But my other half - who is Mr OCD when it comes to organisation - got the day wrong for just about the first time in his life, and thought the talk was Sat. So on friday we were on the left bank having a peaceful snack while all hell broke loose on the right. Our mate, fed up that we hadn't turned up, stayed chatting to fans where he was and didn't go either.
Spooky or what? Someone's looking after us.
On Saturday, whole city felt stunned. Hardly any cars, loads of places shut, hardly any cars, no babble of chatter in the streets.
