Shootings in Paris

  1. My eldest sees the same thing ...in his case a touch of Aspergers makes his logic rather stark. An endless cycle seemingly but the human part asks why should it be so?

It's all the fault of three feminine half of the world for it was a female that done the first evil thing of eating an apple, fact it's in a book.

  3. Of course it could be argued the book was written by a bloke therefore shows bias. :D

  4. Its a Marmitee read though these days, needs a third more raunchy testament for todays crowd
Could also alter the glaring scientific inaccuracies as well.

Same here - Aspergers and some A-level pyschology and sociology. He was taught to look at like this, but he's too good at it.

Thats true for EVERY religion/political party... Religion is the root of ALL evil.. always has been. along with its bedfriend, Politics...When folk wake up and understand there is no god and prophets were nothing short of old time terrorists touting the politics of the day, then we might make some progress, but that's at least 1000 years off, by which time there will be nothing worth saving in any case.. Were reaching the peak of our civilization, like others before us when we get to big for our boots we disappear...

I was speaking to a mate today about this subject and he hit the nail of the head.. forget the religions that people follow and look at the politics, he then drew a parallel with the Reformation.. Politics enforced under the name of religion.. The English Civil War, similar thing, one group trying to force there view on the remainder, brutalising the general population to satisfy there own vanity.

Got to admit this type of behavior doesn't do much for liberal embracing of multicultural societies though... There are a lot of good people out there from all kinds of backgrounds, all religions and all walks of life, The question is who do you trust ? Ant that I suppose is how terrorism works.. Its causing the human race to perpetuating bad feeling leading to our inevitable demise.... were FU**ED..........The chances of being killed in a terror attack are pretty slim, same odds as willing the lottery, but as the tag line says, "It Could Be You" and that's the scary bit... you never know...

On the flip side though, .I can see the price of campers going up though the roof as more folk stay at home for holidays, would you fly anywhere or visit mainland Europe these days .... ??

  7. Fixing my camper is my Jihad, unfortunately the last time it blew up I didn't get my 72 Virginians. It just martyr-ed my bank balance.

Many many more Muslims than non muslim westerners have been killed by other Muslims, for example, for not swearing allegiance to Islamic State or one of the other religious bully sects, or for adhering to the, in the fanatics eyes, "wrong" sort of Islam. We will get more of this in the West, inevitably. What can we do except try to carry on with our lives and hope our security services can keep attacks to a minimum. At the same time we need to get away from lazily blaming the West for all this, there is no collective guilt and I feel no guilt at all. For some reason we are caught in the crosshairs of fanatics who don't care how much we love life and our kids, and going out and having fun, but don't forget the thousands of Muslims who are also caught in the crosshairs.

Tens of thousands killed in Syria and we are bored with the news but a few hundred killed in Paris and the media goes nuts. Are we seeing things out of proportion?

On another front, if jihadi john hadn't been droned, would those Paris folks still be alive today?

Don't think so, the Paris attack must have been planned well in advance of Emwazi being killed.

Horrendous. As with all killing of innocent people. We saw The Specials at the Bataclan last year. There would have been nowhere to hide, even if you were given a chance to :(

I'm sure these guys are perfectly capable of acting quickly. Doesn't take a lot of forward planning to lob a few grenades and go wild with a gun.

  17. Find mine a little scary at times but I've always assumed that in order to understand his environment and cope with life, it has necessitated detailed analysis. Only person I know that can argue both sides of an issue and be seemingly unemotional about it.
