When you get the new engine in the bay, take it for a long trip to see what you think, before selling it
because they had to drill out the old knackered bolt that had sheared off and tap it. Charged for 2 hours of labour. Still cheaper and quicker than the bloke with the Corsa with dodgy wipers!
I understand the posts that say this is a late bay forum and maybe the modern mentions do annoy some but if you actually look at the majority of "big" posters or mods/admin many either don't own or don't use a bay now, still doesn't mean they're not enjoyed, even sometimes envied from afar, as I said once, came for the bay, stayed for the mates.
Some of us previous owners still like to pass knowledge on as well, for me I suppose because I have a 5 when a post is started about them it obviously interests me more 'cos it's a current topic, I still read and partake in bay parts too and am quite happy to muck in at t/e etc, this place is more a community of mates past and present who share an interest in bays but it's not bay specific anymore in my eyes.
People come here because of the bay but stay as it's got good and bad with all the different people if I don't like something I don't read it but that's 1in 100 ...it's good banter on here and always someone to help or be helped
Yes you are right mr Roo And we may all have to give up One day Mot changes etc There are a fair amount of ordinary motorists that hate us even being on the roads I've been sworn at more than once Because 55 is not fast enough Anyway seeing this is a T5 thread Which is better Then T5 or a Transit?
Or there's the Renault Trafic /Vauxhall Vivaro conversions, not as pleasing on the eye as the T5/6 or Transit maybe, but an alternative worth exploring if you want to go "modern" . We had a look at this one at the NEC, very nice it was too http://www.hillsideleisure.co.uk/new-campervans/ellastone-sport-elevating-roof/ As for classics, I see this beauty is still for sale.... http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C743777
Are company just changed all its sprinters for the new transit there good but the transit cab is a lot smaller
