I think its sunk in that its no walk in the park. The idea was lets have an election, we will get in comfortable with strong mandate for brexit.

This Tim nice but dim liberal leader wants another referendum on Brexit at least Corbyn respects the result, as for the loon in charge of ukip, he's saying we should stop sending foreign aid, that's it just let millions of the worlds poorest die, he's one of those words

  5. Think about it another way..... maybe the current govt. have no idea what to do regarding brexit ... no exit stratagy & so forth... maybe they are in a world of mess over this so actually want to relinquish power & leave it upto someone else to pick up the pieces. Pretty devious if so.....

  6. Haha. I have wondered this with their shambolic campaigning and manifesto.

Corbyn has always been anti eu and I do think that he would negotiate a better deal and be a more measured negotiator than May.

I did feel sorry for the plight of the miners, but coal mining was an industry that was dying long before Thatcher came to power, what do you think we were going to carry on burning coal in our homes and power stations for the next 100 years just to keep miners in a job, unfortunately it turned into a war between Thatcher and Scargill, and there was only going to be one winner there
As for the debacle that was the poll tax, everyone could see it was unfair but Thatcher was too proud and stubborn to change it, I think Mrs May would of handled it differently,

  12. Would you believe - she blames Corbyn for the 'fake news'?? Calls it 'clarification' not a U-turn.

  15. What do we burn in our power stations now? Also with the increase in popularity of the log burner & open coal fires, what do we burn in our homes now. (I have a coal/open fire which we use all winter).

  17. That's a horrible experience and not one I recognise from the two unions I've been in. Admittedly things may have changed as now members are balloted before strike action and before then it's debated ferociously, as no one wants to lose money, so has to be for good reasons.
I'm sorry that was your experience, no one should go through that. Seems like you had a crap one but it's not all like that.

  18. Don't need to, we have wind for that, a free & sustainable energy source, we would be foolish not to utilise it.

  19. And the steelworks use coal/coke to make steel that is not bought by this government.

If you was to ask all TLB members what they want from the Brexit negotiations everyone would have a different idea, now x that by 60 odd million, whatever she negotiates it's not going to please everyone
