I wrote something about that, for my English lit exam. Loads of Roman campsites around here. Frome is home of the Roman hoard, that was found last year, by a metal detectoist. I always imagine that ‘Frome’, was a sort of abbreviation as in ‘F(or). Rome, sort of thing. Got a ‘A’.
Its a place that is sort of on the way from Bristol to Southampton when I am doing one of my 'going down stupid small roads or slow A roads' in the bus. I have been past it a few times.
