2.4km just gone into this data centre so I've been busy.

We are just finishing mechanical services for an 84MW data centre here in Sydney

Then they will then start the next one once this one is filled.
It will be 320MW

 

tidied up some bits.

refitted the bumper

connected the clucth cable and linkage tightened down, gears all fall into place nicely which is good.

exhaust, driveshafts and wheels on and we're off.


driving to Glastonbury later so I'm having some time away from the bus... then I'll hopefully be spending the rest of the summer in the bus

today i drove the bus for about 50 miles...


snapped the speedo cable... obviously hit 88mph.

clipped the pipes up etc.

fitted lambdas.


and fitted the awesome exhaust.

few issues to sort.

speedo cable

new shocks on the front

fuel sender isnt working

throttle cable isn't the best so testing a few things tomorrow.

2 months to the day Sam!
Your resolve and energy should be an inspiration for anyone struggling with a resto or mechanical challenges.
Not only is the bus running, but it's running with a completely new powerplant, with all the mods required for that, and a different gearbox.
Well done mate, looking forward to the next chapter...

Vehicle speed sensor. The one Sam has used is notorious(in my personal experience) of killing Speedo cables.

I'll just join the chorus - well done, you really have done this not only fast but looks like you did it to a high standard.
It must be pretty nice to drive after thrashing that 1600 around?

 

its actually horrible to drive, so anxious if im honest.. but I'll just keep it moving and iron anything out that comes my way
