Ow up, my dad used to, and both myself and my brother both wear a flat cap,(not the same one) him because he is bald and a little vain , i because i am balding and it gets cold. (Plus my daughters bought it for me as a present and i dare not not wear it)
At risk of a ban… 1. Politicians that directly answer a question and , 2 . politicians that tell the factual truth. ok it may have always been thus, but never , ever , to the extent we experience now.
Following in from yours @Pony , people wearing old WW2 clothing from Army Surplus for warm clothing. I had a jacket like this as a teenager. My dad put his National Service clothing out and the bin men wore it for ages, especially the greatcoat
Was thinking this sort of thing. One good thing, found out the Army and Navy is still on the go looking for a piccie https://www.armynavystores.co.uk/ru...gs-c36/highlander-webbing-side-bag-hs004-p326
Ummm like Soggz backpack/Bergen but those webbing bags look a bit hipster Dad from Primrose Hill attire .
I had one of those from Oxfam in the early ‘80’s. Can’t remember how much I paid, but hardly anything. Bloody itchy though.
Ah, I know what you mean, but the ‘school back pack’ version. Normally adorned with a carefully biro and felt tipped drawn band name, like The Dead Kennedys or Madness/ The Specials/ 2Tone logo
This is a Military ‘Other Orders’ Turtle Shell REME backpack. The rolled up bit at the top of the straps comes down and hides the straps turning it into a ‘holdal’ which is then usually chucked into a bolt on carrier on the side of a AFV. (All firing vehicle). Really comfortable as a backpack. And with the rocket pockets ( side pouches) it’s really roomy. It’s my winter pack, as I can carry more bulkier insulation, for between me and the ground. Using it this weekend on Dartmoor. Hope it snows.
