I don’t know how many people who have traveled or had or have to travel to Spain or Europe on here ( this forum) but
for me I have taken flights to Spain ,
I have done this a couple of times over the last year with this awful situation,
Well My own experience I go through Bournemouth airport the last time with the 23 others on the flight who needed to go to Spain for whatever reason , no shops open etc at Bournemouth ... check in get on plane.
Then met after flight to Spain by Airport/government Personnel in Spain who checked my temperature my QR code and documents , prior to passport control
I then collected my hire car stinking of whatever detergent sealed with tape across the doors,
Then Do business or whatever I need to do in Spain,
Return to Bournemouth Airport met by Border official 1 .. then passport control who then check my passport and QR code again against my passport

on the other hand when I didn’t go to Spain I went to Birmingham on a train and then to Manchester and went on a bus,
Then I went to Scotland via Ireland then I drank 14 pints of Guinness
Went back to London ,
Then I went to Jersey on a little plane
Then flew back to Southampton got drunk at a family party in the middle of Wiltshire
Blimey and nobody checked anything ...

 

Its not just one way though is it? It's a hell of a perk, of immense value that is incomprehensible to your average Joe. These people operate oblivious to the rank and file, and often indignant when it eventually gets revealed, like this has.

But the government have done a Cummings on this.

If I remember correctly things like this are in the remuneration section of the accounts so its stated openly.
In addition it's not just senior managers and directors who get these.
Cummings has nothing to do with this.

 

What is a QR code? What is it for?

 

One of those square boxes full of little black and white squares. You can get an app on your phone that can read them. Usually they contain a web link. It's like a barcode really, but can hold a lot more information

 

I mean when they take other roles, (especially public sector roles) not whilst they are still in the role that facilitates it.

I know it common place, I've had free and matching shares options, but worth a pittance in comparison. The rank and file usually get Ordinary Shares, with no voting rights.

It is everything to do with Cummings- it's the same modus operandi - keep quiet, but if it eventually comes to light, put the PR machine to work and set the line for denial, rebuke and repetition until it eventually becomes the truth.

That's how I see it, you probably don't - that's fair enough.

 

Track and trace uses it it contains the info of the shop ect .

 

I will agree if your going to public sector work you should be checked and double checked.
The problem is top industry bigwigs tend to move around no one would get employment.

if labour had done the sensible thing and actually appointed a credible leader, who had then won the last election. These same scientists would have been advising whoever the labour prime minister was. In fact when starmer was calling for a circuit break a few weeks ago, he was basing it on site of the sage report, yes the same report that the government uses, published by these same scientists.

I find it a bit odd that some of you didn’t realise that the chief scientific advisor in the country might have worked in the scientific field previously.

I don’t want you to be shocked when it comes out that the head of the NHS also used to work as a doctor. Brace yourself.

 

I thought the new Labour leader, 4 weeks ago asked for the advice to be followed with a short lockdown before the rates increased like they now have?
but didn't he get shot down for saying it?

Good god no. I don’t think you should be removed from positions of power just because an independent report says you are a racist and all your colleagues are racists and due to your racist beliefs you failed to properly investigate complaints of racism in your organisation.

^ This! Anyone with an honours degree in hindsight can criticize the government for doing the wrong thing. I was merely reminding folks that other factors are involved as well.
