I think the market for a private test will be for airports primarily - pay £120, test negative, avoid quarantine.

I really would love to see your cv you seem to have had ten different jobs since we met. You seem very transient Os. I bet you’ve had more jobs than anyone on here?

So if you caught it from someone you were cooped up with on the plane presumably it wouldn't yet show up?
Seems like the end result of that is it's ok to risk anyone with £120 spreading the virus. I thought the two weeks was to make sure you hadn't recently contracted it.

  13. Abbott currently manufacturer 6 COVID tests . The 5 minute credit card size test works like a pregnancy test looking for a specific protein.. we sell it for $5 and make 150 million a month ..(do the math) all goes to US market. Uses saliva not wee I think

I think the airports are lobbying for this type of testing. I can’t see how it would work efficiently either.

Nobody wants to fly because of the quarrantine period. This is good! The reaction should not be to find a way for people to buy their way around it!

  16. I told you about the neighbour's friend who keeps travelling back and forth to Spain and never quarantines. You can have the best test and trace system but if ignorant and selfish people like him ignore the rules, then spreading will occur. This individual is close to being reported to the Police.

  17. Just do it
I doubt they'd prosecute though , just read him the riot act ...
Same scenario with the mask debacle , go around the supermarket and look at the people wearing them but under their chin . Apparently the buses are just as bad with some people wearing them as they board then pulling then down when they're seated .
    Can't legislate for downright ignorance.

The sad thing is that they are too ignorant to realise that they are the reason for the latest restrictive measures.

Please don't bother commenting about the government's handling of the situation as that's not relevant to my post!

  19. This is a virus which only survives due to the ignorance or arrogance of individuals.

did you see the coloured charts last night, it’s absolutely evident beyond any doubt that this current wave has been caused by the ignorance of the under 30s. These are the first generation that were told, you don’t have to do anything you don’t want to because of your human rights, the first generation who were told, teachers can’t tell you off, parents can’t smack your bum etc etc. You are the most special little cherub in the world. The world owes you a favour.

and this is the result. A generation of individuals who say you can’t tell me what to do and sadly an older generation who will now die because of it

How ironic, a generation who fought in the war to give these kids their freedoms get killed because of it.

  20. yes I saw those charts, presented to support an imminent announcement, it was a shame they weren't complete annotated with axis values etc so we could see what they really meant and how speculative the forecasts are.

Incidentally the guy presenting the bad news

owns a deferred bonus of 43,111 shares worth £600,000 in GlaxoSmithKline, a drug company which is working on developing a COVID vaccine.

You could say he had a vested interest in creating hysteria over this and he's certainly managed to do that.
