  5. What do you mean followed - I am MI6 ( shsh - just between you and me).
I fear that there will be parties on the City streets on Wednesday night - so most of the Covid tests will be positive shortly - so all Liverpool City area will be quarantined for 14 days . P.S. I don't live in the City area.

  6. Anyway
I have to say when I started this post
It was about being shut in . and why we should start thinking about taking all this seriously,
And I said about my mate up in Leeds etc
I nearly got hoyed off o here for bad language ,
    Anyway like I said
My very good friend sent me the text from Hospital saying he was fd
And he was , and he won’t run any more marathons and he won’t ride his bike around Lanzarote anymore

My Beautiful northern friend from Leeds lost his fight :(
Be careful and stay safe ok

no joke, just pointing out why Mr Cummins was probably there, not just as an eye test.

This is very real and I know people who have died from COVID and will certainly know people who have list their jobs as a result of the economy taking a dive.

I feel that if the govt had not been so arrogant with their track and trace, and have wasted lots of money giving jobs to their mates, who clearly weren’t the best people for the job, we may have been in a better place now.

it would be a nightmare job to take on running the country now. They have done some good things and helped folk but they’ve also squandered opportunities to do better (imho)

  15. Barnard Castle and Cummings that's distant history I don't see that your comment added anything to the debate. Yes I will be unemployed from mid December and I know loads of people who have lost their jobs.

@monkeyvanwestybike sorry to hear that news, RIP.

I don't get involved in politics but it must be a tough gig running any country right now. To be fair Boris and co have probably got around 80% of it right and if the last election had been different Labour would have got around 80% right and the Lib Dems the same. It may have been different bits that the others got right or wrong but any party would have made mistakes.

It's been enlightening has it not that after 10 years of apparently desperate austerity the money to pay the nations wages for half a year and counting can be conjured up no worries without even affecting high cost projects like that high speed train jobby, cross rail and all. It just goes to show how much the gov cream off as the money goes round and round.
Yes debt for future generations if you swallow that line, but the whole world economy is run on debt, it's pretty meaningless in reality or we simply would not be doing what we're doing. :D

Yes - 2 weeks ago Welsh Government asked Rishi Sunak if he could extend the furlough for our workers during our circuit breaker lockdown*.

No way, no how, no money chief.

7 days later - can extend it in England no problemo says Rishi.

    * the circuit breaker lockdown recommended by SAGE at the end of September, that Boris and jolly chums voted to ignore, that Wales chose to enact.
