i would have a split to drive on nice days but to be fair at my height they are a mare to sit in, i would have a wedge for the size and the diesel engine, i have got a bay and i wouldn't change that for all the world plus ten.
i can't remember what it would be like to be 5 ft 4 i think i was about 12 years old the last time i was that height
I love splitties though I could never own one. I love early bays as well as late bays I dont like the wedgies though
God I hate them. Crap to drive, bouncy, not very big, old, have them stupid open out safaris which leak. Hey I've just described mine and I wouldn't change it for the world.
And nobody's gonna go to school today -- i still think splittys are ugly , but surprised how many find the wedge acceptable these days
Splits are sexy Bays are poor mans splits. Wedgies are poor mans bays. God I hope I never get that poor.. The word wedgie gives me goose bumps, not fond memories at school, Atomic wedgie.
You got me there yep the bay is bigger than the split it's suprising when the bay is in the garage it fills it up, the split I can walk around it in the garage. But what puts a bigger smile on my face when driving it, yep the split does. Drive it most days to work. Plus the bay has no mot so can't drive it. Wedgies are bigger but still wouldn't have one there soo ugly.
Splits do look good but far too small for me. Wish I had a quid for every wanna-be camper owner whos struck up a conversation with me that there brother, cousin, best mate "has one of these but its a split screen" or "yep looking for one of these myself but I want a split-screen".
