    Was the paint a bit thick? There's going to be some more sanding...

    Dont think the paint was too thick Zed, it was as per the instructions provided...looks great, needs a good cutting compound to bring out the shine!!

    I'm more than happy so far ;D
     
  4. All looking good Mark. I didnt realise just how much work Gus was going to take. I am in awe at what you are doing.
    As I said to Lowie, ' no pressure' but can't wait to see Gus at Clumber in the SPRING. :thumbsup:

    We had to pop the bumper on today, just to check the colour scheme out..what d ya think?

  10. It looks like a little toy with grey plastic bumpers. I like it. It's whimsical.
    It also gets on nicely with your license plate, whereas they're usually an eyesore.
    Ya know, I think the way the plate matches the bumper contributes to the toyish look. It's like all one piece from the same injection mold.
    That is really cool.

    I thought the bumpers were going to be blue but I like the grey but please please please put some eyes in the poor thing so he can start to see again :)
     
  12. I'd normally think white or black for bumpers as Im not very imaginative.

    I'd never have thought of using grey but that looks really good, suits it well 8) :thumbsup:

    I agree with Diddymen, normally white or else chrome/stainless steel.
    In this case, that looks great.
