Have the two "bayonet" pipes actually briken off? If not, you can just push them back into the m/c. If it's busted, but thebrakes were previously ok, just need a new reservoir.
reservoirs are available with... different distances between those nipples you pulled out and different inlet positions. Choose wisely.
I found only two sizes for the ones with the servo and little tank by the driver's seat 100mm and 85mm the 85mm looked the same shape as the one in there. I only realised this after I left the van hopefully I have the correct size
If whoever towed you managed to do that I’d be having a good check of the other components under the front of the bus. Ive seen steering rods and steering dampers damaged before from people being careless with straps.
Hard to think how they managed it...but reservoirs don't just snap themselves off The plastic on those does tend to get brittle over the years.
Maybe it was the state that broke the camel's back. Looking under again the steering box thing also looks wet and makes a creek when I turn to the right
The new ones are also quite easy to break... well that's what I tell myself anyway. lol The nipples + a penny sized circle of the base around them will break out of the main reservoir if you're as clumsy as I was.
I managed to break one peg off my old one wrestling it off. Also, the upper reservoir started to swell in an alarming fashion when I was doing a modest pressure bleed of the brakes But they are 40 years old...
No. If you grovel under the bus, you can see the steering filler. Usually red plastic, but may be covered in filth.
