Described wrong eh? I should have looked at the photos. There are a lot more oval port engines competing for heads and the heads have weak point. Maybe that's why the sq port ones are always cheaper.
The photos are of two sq port heads, he got mixed up with his engine numbers. One will turn up, be patient it's worth waiting and you have plenty to keep you busy meanwhile.
So after chasing my delivery of crankcase sealant, turns out they are looking atleast another 7 before they have it in stock. Does anyone no of any alternatives I can use and get order quickly?

Put it in gear, make sure who close the gap evenly, rotate the crank a little. You did centre the clutch? Van arse in air you you have to lower the engine a bit as you go. Violence, shaking, twisting, loosing your temper is allowed within reason.
It's all about getting it lined up nicely. IE, the same angle as the van. Try and get the engine sitting slightly arse high on the Jack before you start, and level acrossways.. (is that a word? ) In second gear as zedders says, then try again. Once you have the right angle, it all just slips in a treat. Usually.
I gave up and dropped the gearbox a couple of inches to get a better angle... then sent ages arguing with hangers Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
Thanks guys finally did it with a lot of wiggling and many cuts to the hand Luckily I bought a center it was on offer best purchase will have another update in a bit when I cant work out the electric hahs
So the engine is back in so that's a small victory, but when I connect the fuel line back to the right hand side pump I got a load in my eye luckily my house mate had eye wash. All I have to do tomorrow is double check all the electrics which is going to be a massive job as they were botched by someone along the way, so wiring diagrams can only help so much .
So I wanted to get a little tinkering in before the rain set in, so after getting fuel in my eye last night. This morning a man from the council turns up saying the van had be reported as abandoned, whilst my head was in the engine bay, Anyway I think I have managed to wire up most of the engine except these 4
Whites are prob fuel injection ones a I don't have any of them... the last one is a head sensor again for your FI set up screws into the head .. last one black usually switched live from ignition? So possibly your coil + feed? Or live feed to your FI..?.. sure someone with FI will be able to come along and help soon Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
I think the 2 white ones go nowhere, The 2nd one needs screwing into the head , your van will run like a pig or not at all without it , use copper grease or heat sinking grease when fitting it what colour is the 3rd ?
