Well, it's done. Selected for redundancy which makes it sound a bit like a prize! Still don't really know if I'm pleased or gutted. Oh well, off on the lash now. Hope some bugger has a company credit card!
don't know whether to comiserate or .. either way at least you know where you stand now and can plan for the future. first job though, as you say - get the beers in.
mixed emotions isn't unusual Doug...bit scary losing the familiar, but I'm sure something will turn up in due course...I'd look for something close to home, now you have the little 'un...chin up fella
Best of luck for the future. I hope all turns out okay for you. I'm sure it will. I think people can make their own luck.
As you rightly said - "it`ll be reet" If you`re lucky `gardening leave` might be an option for them , you get the full cash payment they`ve said you`ll get but the company `let you go`early to give you chance to `job hunt` - i worked 3 weeks even though the agreement was for 3 months . I went away for a month in the van
Something to make you smile , at just 21 as a qualified drafty n official member of staff, i left my first firm coz i didnt think i was heading where i should be , 6 months after leaving , the old lady whod inherited the firm off of her very clever father died She left every member of staff £16000 A nice house was about 15 then .
You can spend a lot more time with the sprog (much better when they cannot answer back)... You'll be alright ...
Sorry to hear that Doug. Not good but hope its just the start of something better. Be pleased. You might as well. The option isnt constructive.
All a massive inconvenience Doug ...but they often turn out for the better . And i hope that happens in your case
